Citizenship eligibility in the Muscogee Nation of Florida requires documented lineal descent from a Muscogee ancestor found on the base roll compiled from Church and School rolls that have represented the community for the past 140 years and connect to the Creek confederacy - tribal towns as documented on the 1832 Creek Census. A resolution passed in 2004 by the Council of the Muscogee Nation of Florida altered citizenship criteria by further tightening and defining requirements for citizenship to ensure historic population is clearly designated.
